AFRICAN SCIENTISTS BAG MEDALS DURING THE 2018 AMERICAN GEOPHYSICAL UNION AGU FALL MEETING

Three African Scientists were among those recognized for their outstanding achievements and dedication to science for the benefit of humanity in Earth and space science during the Honors Tribute at the 2018 AGU Fall Meeting, which took place on Wednesday, 12 December 2018, in Washington, DC.

Joanne Simpson Medal for Mid-Career Scientists
Dr Endawoke Yizengaw,Boston College

Africa Award for Research Excellence in Earth Science
Ahzegbobor Philips Aizebeokhai, Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria

It is of note to mention that several African scientists and graduate students from home and diaspora participated in the 2018 AGU fall meeting.
